2019 – 2022

WEKA develops the DKS15 and DKS32 diamond core drilling machines with soft impact. The soft impact enables dry drilling in reinforced concrete and hard materials. This opens up new application possibilities that do not require water.

2018

Daniel Schrade takes over the management of WEKA Elektrowerkzeuge KG.

WEKA presents the new FU6D frequency inverter with display. The user can access a wide range of information via an LC display and set the frequency inverter using a membrane keypad. The integrated Bluetooth interface enables software updates via the WEKA service app.

2017

The ANNA device series is launched: The device series is based on high-frequency technology and is extremely efficient and user-friendly. WEKA has developed ANNA as the optimum solution for a wide range of hand-held sawing applications.

2013

25 years of WEKA. The company is firmly established in the global market for highly professional diamond core drilling machines.

WEKA equips all SR machines with a convenient display. The drilling diameter can be entered via a membrane keypad and the user no longer has to calculate the appropriate speeds. Speed and torque are controlled by the electronics.

2007

The first diamond core drilling machine from WEKA with a switched reluctance motor as drive with a nominal torque of 680 Nm at 400 V goes on sale.

2004

WEKA develops “Intellitronik”, a motor management system that integrates a soft start and does not switch off in the event of an overload. Instead, it indicates the load limit to the user through pulsating behavior.

2002

WEKA launches the world’s first diamond core drilling machine with a switched reluctance motor as drive with the highest effective power of 3700 W at 230 V. Developed in co-operation with the University of Karlsruhe, here as sample electronics.

Development of the SR-Motor

1997

WEKA presents the world’s first wet-dry diamond core drilling machine. It has a protected shaft seal.

1992

WEKA expands with its first new building at its current location in Neubulach-Altbulach.

WEKA builds the world’s first water-cooled diamond core drilling machine with a patented water cooling system.

1989

WEKA launches the first 3-speed diamond hand core drilling machine with oil lubrication. It becomes a successful model and is one of the best-known hand core drills not only in Europe, but also in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
